Chuck E. Cheese - Birmingham

I can’t believe this keeps happening. I drove an hour to take my daughter to Chuck E. Cheese because she absolutely loves the games there. We recently celebrated her birthday at the Birmingham location on November 3rd. Our server, Shomaria, was fantastic—she was incredibly friendly and made our experience enjoyable. I really wanted to let her know how wonderful she was and how much we appreciated her. However, when it came time for my daughter to redeem her tickets for prizes, the staff were consistently rude. On one occasion, I was charged $24 for a toy that I could find at a dollar store! When I questioned the charge, my stepfather just paid without hesitation, but I later discovered that the staff member had not taken any tickets from my daughter’s card. Interestingly, my nephew was with us and had no issues getting his prize, even though he didn’t have the required tickets. This experience was about eight months ago, and due to the unwelcoming staff, I would prefer to take my daughter somewhere else in the future. My suggestion is to either hire more friendly employees or provide proper training for your current staff on how to maintain a positive customer service atmosphere. A smile goes a long way!

We waited at the register for 35 minutes with our children to use our tickets, and not a single employee offered to help us. They just ignored us and walked away. One lady was on her phone and didn’t even acknowledge us when we approached the register. We eventually had to shout at a kitchen worker to get assistance. This was the worst part of our experience, but unfortunately, the rest of our visit wasn’t much better. On the positive side, the food was good, and the games kept the kids entertained. That's why I'm giving them 2 stars.

Poor customer service, the workers did not bring us our pizza and didn?t even give us plates to eat with. We ate with napkins. We tried using the free 500 tickets code from the app and we were told it doesn?t work. The workers obviously didn?t want to be there. The animatronic show was in poor condition. But points for good pizza and fun games

The staff did a fabulous job the day we had my grandsons birthday party. The lady assigned to our table was spectacular. She was knowledgeable about our birthday package and ran things very well. The food was good and best of all my four year old grandson had a blast. They do it big for the birthday child!!!! I would definitely recommend having your child?s party at Chuck E. Cheese!!!

A great place. The staff is ultra friendly. They continually are sanitizing games and tables. The 280 location in my opinion is better than the newly reopened Vestavia Hills location. My children and I make our visits weekly.
