Captain D's - Birmingham

I have a great fondness for Captain D's and have visited many locations throughout the years, but this was by far my best experience yet. If you're a regular at Captain D's, you know that there's often a wait, but I only waited about 10 minutes during the lunch rush, which was fantastic! The food was exceptional—fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. The customer service was excellent too!

The food was excellent! Although the staff was a bit short-handed, which led to longer wait times for our meals, they worked efficiently with the resources they had. I understand how challenging it can be when there aren't enough team members available. Despite the delays, I'm giving you all a 5-star rating for your hard work and dedication in serving customers like me. That effort means a lot to me!

The manager was fantastic; she welcomed my group and me to dine in and order. Despite having only two staff members, she handled everything like a pro—taking orders at the front and drive-thru, managing both registers, delivering food to customers inside, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. The food was hot and delicious, and the cook was clearly dedicated to his work. They definitely deserve a raise and more support, although finding reliable help can be challenging.

Awful. I placed my order, blackened tilapia and grilled shrimp. 1st I had to place my order, pay then take a number to display when I parked. It took 30 minutes. The food was steaming hot BUT either the grill needed cleaning or they tried to blacken thebottom of the fish. The green beans were good but the fish turned my stomach. I'll be going to Texas Roadhouse tomorrow to geta decent grilled salmon dinner.

Food was hot but battered chicken was just regular chicken tenders or nuggets if I can remember which was very disappointing. They usually have the best battered chicken to go along with the fish meals. Staff was very courteous but nothaving battered chicken got me.
