Al Margen - Bilbao

Recommended by friends who have lived around Bilbao for some time. Arrived after a nice walk through the city's old quarters. We opted for the tasting. A very good choice. The chefs did their best and we got to taste a delicious array of dishes. The time between courses was too fast for our taste, though, so we could only enjoy ba each course briefly. Consolation that the next course tasted good again. Absolutely recommended! The only downside is that the explanation of what was on the plate was a bit too unintelligible for us. Small inconvenience for an otherwise delicious lunch

A very special restaurant on the other side of the Ria. Check out their menu. You either like it or you don 't. We were with six. I and some others loved it, some thought it was too expensive and for some the food was too strange . For example the Mushrooms in egg yolk and the Dry roasted broccoli. I loved the food and the excellent wine. The service is nice but it 's true that the prices are not cheap. For me it was worth it.

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant. First of all they mixed up our complete order. Secondly, when we politely tried to correct the situation we got a very unfriendly response. Thirdly, when we finally got the lamb that we trierd to order in the first place, it was still cold inside. I am not easily writing negative reviews , but this was a negative experience in every respect.

Beautiful service, good terrace, good small dishes and desserts

A friend and I have the tasting menu and a bottle of white wine. one of the most incredible culinary experiences I ever had! every teller was fantastic and the brownie changed my life. it was also shockingly affordable. highly recommended!
