Great food. Good service. Much better than a chain restaurant

Service and the food are great. Every time I am in Gainesville I go to Metro.

10/10I absolutely cannot think of a better place to enjoy a meal. From the moment I stepped in the restaurant, being met with friendly faces and a feel-good atmosphere, to being seated and enjoying the meal everything was phenomenal. My server, Ryan, was a great help, consistently checking in always with a friendly attitude. The food, I cannot stress enough, was amazing. I had the meatloaf with the mashed potatoes and green beans, and here in Florida especially, it's one thing to be able to make a good homestyle dish, and it's another to perfect it. I would say Metro Diner has done an exceptional job at this.Hoping to become a regular.

Very busy, popular place. Wait wasn't too long for a table. Meat loaf dinner I ordered was excellent! Mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans. As busy as they were, our server checked in several times to be sure all four of us had what we needed. Clean restroom, well stocked. A+ !
