Spice Master - Bexley

Went here with my work bubble on a government discount Day although no discount was available! Food was nice so 2 weeks later decided to have a family takeaway. Same order was completely different and tasted rubbish more like a microwave meal at an inflated price

Well what totally bad experience one poor waiter doing everything waited 15 minute before we asked to see a drinks menu had to ask to order the food when we did order waited nearly an hour to be served and they wasn't even busy

I gave it 1 because I can't give it none. My partner and I decided to come in tonight to see if we could grab a table. It being Valentine's Day we didn't expect much but we got there at 8:15 and there wasn't as many people as expected, they had a large number of tables empty. We went in and asked for a table for 2. There were about 9 full tables (there are at least 19 in the restaurant), we were asked to take a seat and wait for a table. 4 people asked us if it was just the two of us within about 15 mins. We eventually got seated and were given menus, we ordered drinks quite quickly and they arrived and shortly after someone took our order. Great. However, 40 mins gone by and no sign of poppadoms or starter. 15 mind later (hour and 10 mins after arriving) we got our starter. We finish and we're waiting for the main. We order 2 more drinks. Still no food. The table next to us came in after we arrived, had been seated, served, eaten and were leaving, still we had no main. By 22:12 I asked to cancel the order and asked to pay for the starter and drinks. The waiter came back shortly after, no card machine and told us out order was ready, he was sorry and we could have it on him. I said no thanks I've been here two hours I'm too tired now I don't want it. He then went to get the card machine, told me the starters were on them. I paid £24 for drinks and left. Silly me, my dad warned me the service was appauling there and we gave it a go anyway. I'll never go back, not even if you paid me.

This is now most probably the worst Indian restaurant in the area. When it first opened the service and the food was very good but sadly (like the decor) it has gone very much down hill. Save your unless you want a really salty curry and go elsewhere

Just had a takeaway for four people this evening. My meal was a vegetable biryani and we asked for it to include a phal sauce. Have been ordering this from Indian restaurants for decades with no problems. However, the Spice Master decided that this meant I didn’t want a hot vegetable curry to go with the rice base, but just a tray of phal sauce and no vegetable curry. I could have put up with that BUT the phal sauce was truly disgusting. It was watery thin, oily and had the most disgusting burnt taste. When I rang to complain the person I spoke to was very rude and implied that I didn’t understand the sauce would be hot. I know what a phal sauce is like. The heat of the ‘sauce’ wasn’t the issue. This was like oily, burnt dishwater. The rest of the meal was very mediocre, for example small, flavourless onion bhajis.
