Ruben's Arepas - Berlin

Unfortunately a little under-seasoned. It lacked pizzazz and the arepa itself was served rather cold. The Yuca Fries were cut way too thick. All in all, way too expensive for what is served. Unfortunately, it doesn't come close to the taste of an original arepa. I'd rather save the money and do it at home.

I have finally found the best arepas in Berlin, right here in the heart of Friedrichshain! This Venezuelan restaurant is a true gem. The arepas are simply perfect you can immediately tell that everything is made by hand. The ingredients are incredibly fresh and of the highest quality, which brings out the authentic taste even more. It feels like you're eating in Venezuela it tastes so original and genuine! The selection is large and each arepa is prepared with great attention to detail. The service was great too. The team is super friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even more pleasant. The shop itself is small, but very cozy and inviting. A perfect mix of family flair and great food. For me it's definitely the best place for arepas in Berlin. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone!

Painfully mediocre, my bowl was missing half of the advertised ingredients, and what was there was very bland.

Sehr leckere Arepas. Das verwendete Maismehl ist als glutenfrei gekennzeichnet. Auf der Speisekarte gibt es jedoch ein glutenhaltiges Gericht (Tequeños), das zwar separat zubereitet wird, aber nicht als "glutenhaltig" gekennzeichnet ist, obwohl Allergene normalerweise auf der Karte vermerkt sind. Aus diesem Grund ist es am besten, immer noch einmal nachzufragen, da man sich nicht auf die Angaben auf der Karte bezüglich der Allergenkennzeichnung verlassen kann.

Had the one and only vegan arepas. service was fast and friendly. wish that they can expand their vegan menu.
