Café Sur - Berlin

This is the perfect place if you want to have a calm, nice Italian meal. I love to go to Café Sur for lunch on Sundays (especially when it's sunny, because you can seat outside). They change the menu every week, which is really nice. The pasta is homemade and everything tastes fresh. The prices are fair and the service is nice.

What i like about this location, nothing is fancy here....everything is subtle.....The wines, the friendly service and the decoration.... You will not find the fancy Bar installations, or the highly-exagerated broken tables and stools -Retro-Looks u will find in the Friedrichshain or Prenzlauer Berg area. The concentration here is on you, your company, book or good mood....so you do not even get destracted by the location. On sunny days, take a place on the corner area....the soft sun of Berlin should massage you directly on the face.

The waiter throws me a friendly greeting to nod. my ordered strong cappuccino is aromatic and right. for 2.40 they can't mug. the mixed salad with cheese for 6.50 was well dressed with vinegar oil, with a few slices of white brot. exactly right for the little starving in between. when they eat well and cheap they are always right in the caffe sur.

That was by far the worst restaurant experience of my life. I often went after cafe sur, as they used to have very good lunches and a nice ambiente. they must have changed their own. 5 of us tried to eat. After waiting for an hour (even if we were promised a waiting period of 20 minutes), the rude and untrained waiter was not able to communicate, bring water, or even the cutlery needed for our meal. the English breakfast came without baking and if we complained he would really want to make the quiche I ordered, as he informed us when he had the 4 other dishes (also, and all too different times) not there brought our application to salt and pfeffer was filled with a fat plastic salt and pfeffers we came up with no breakfast, and the when I pointed out, and also explained that the appeal was a total secret, since all the things just said kitchen the even rudder older woman told us that we don't have to come back, and that this was the indictable. Well, we won't, and I would like to warn everyone that this is a complete catastrophe of a caffe, and it's sad to see a beautiful place in a great place.

First in my life I return (supervised) food. ingredients were not fresh (avocado spreads brown and tasty like mud can, salat partly brown and soggy) and there was plastic film in fruit salad. I tried to return it very politely and was immediately attracted by the owner. I told myself when I touched the food I have to pay for it. the waiters were very apologetic and embodied by the behavior of their boss. obviously they were used to it.
