I worked around the corner and would often get my lunch here, their prices are the best in town, as are their sandwiches- their home made Mayo is delicious and the homemade slices are a great treat. Service is always friendly, it has a lovely homely, comfortable feel!

I'm a Benalla local and this would definitely be my go to chicken snitz roll destination. Unfortunately the atmosphere and cold looks from certain staff members turns me away. If you don't mind feeling like you've ruined their day by being a customer and their establishment then you might love this place.

Working late called in for a quick coffee and takeaway salad roll . Food was very fresh but service was very slow and coffee was still very hot half an hour later. Young lady serving was not assisted to serve by older male who was busy cleaning instead of serving.

The good thing: you can't go wrong with this caffe. it bears the original name of the city benalla, which is benalta. the service is always fantastic, it is a family business and eating is classic home cooked meals. for hot chip lovers... this caffe is a must because they always make their chips crispy. they also have juices they order. the caffe itself is always clean and cool the bad in the summer: the toilet is in a foamed place on the back of the kitchen under stairs and quite small but always clean
