Contribuiți la feedbackThis is the place for some home cooked filipino meals. My family and I were staying in Belmont while visiting my sister. We ordered the tapsilog, bansilog, longsilog and the tosilog. The whole -silog term is just meaning with egg in case you 're wondering. They serve each -silog with garlic rice which is nearly a staple for filipino breakfasts. They were all friggin ' delicious. The tapsilog and tosilog was a little fatty and chewy for me but my wife loved it. Bansilog was a hit with the kids and I. We went during the second surge of the pandemic so dine-in wasn 't an option. The place is really small but you can definitely tell it is family owned. The people here are super friendly and polite. Please be courteous of any restaurant owners (especially family owned businesses) who are struggling during the pandemic to cook many orders without much help. This family was definitely working it! I will definitely come back if we every stay in Belmont again! Filipino pride.
Small mom-and-pop Filipino restaurant with good sized portions and yummy food. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. I've gotten their tosilog a few times, which is always very yummy. I tried their chicken arroz caldo recently as well, and it was packed with flavor! It's a very large portion so I still had maybe 2/3 of the bowl for leftovers. They are open for indoor dining now. They are only open for breakfast and lunch, but they do get busy! It was packed when I went on a Sunday around noontime. If you are trying to place a to-go order over the phone but they don't pick up, just be patient since they do seem to be a little understaffed. I ended up placing the order when I got there, and it was about a 15 min wait for food. There is limited street parking right out front, with some more street parking spots on the side street.
Place is clean . Good Filipino tapsilog . Place to go to if I am craving for a rice meal. Go try once and I'll guarantee you will go back .
First time here and found my go to spot now for basic comfort food! From customer service to presentation of the flavorful food and dessert halo halo , it was all far from disappointment. Came here earlier today on a quiet Saturday afternoon so there was ample street parking on the road perpendicular to the busy El Camino Real. The relaxed ambience of the small mom&pops restaurant is popular with good Yelp ratings. SunRICE only offers take out and no dine in. In compliance with county health rules if a restaurant is found to have one Covid case, a business will be forced to shut down. SunRICE had signs encouraging social distancing, no dine in and open ventilation inside the establishment and even kitchen. I didn 't get the lady 's name who took my order over the phone, but she sounded very friendly and culturally sensitive she kept referring to me as ma 'am even after I told her it was appreciated, but wasn 't necessary bc I was young at heart. Probably the same cashier who greeted me and the laughter and smiles continued while I paid at the front counter. So polite she even offered to help me carry my order to my car. I ordered Bansilog #7 : 2 perfectly fried sunny side up eggs, lightly fried and browned Bangus milkfish , mouthwatering Garlic fried rice, 10 pieces of flavorful lumpia and yummy halo halo. Everything inhaled once it arrived home. Definitely recommend SunRICEto everyone for something flavorful and light to start your day, you won 't be disappointed!
Finally made it to this cafe and definitely did not disappoint. My friend and I both had the Bangsilog (bangus, siningag, itlog fried milkfish with garlic fried rice and fried egg), got mine as a combo with Tocilog (tocino marinated pork), and we shared halo halo with ube ice cream too. They also gave us some sinigang soup on the side. Everything was good, very reasonably priced, and Rose was a fabulous host. Will definitely come back here again.
