Bangkok Thai Station - Belleville

While driving from Toronto to Montreal, my wife discovered this hidden gem using the Yelp app. Despite being a bit off the highway, it was worth the extra drive. I tried the pineapple red curry and it was absolutely delicious! Although I usually stick to my go-to Panang curry, I was pleasantly surprised by this new dish. The lunch special offered a generous portion of food for a great price. Locals are fortunate to have such a wonderful restaurant in their area.

My husband's lunch special was average, but mine was terrible. The beef in my dish was as bad as what you would find in a canned stew, and I couldn't even finish it. The spring rolls tasted like they were bought frozen in bulk, and I doubt they were made fresh. The Thai iced tea was decent, but that's not enough to make me want to return. To top it off, one of the waiters was rude to the couple next to us, creating an uncomfortable atmosphere. While I was excited to find a Thai restaurant in downtown Belleville, I believe they have a lot of improvements to make.

This restaurant offers decent food, but the service leaves much to be desired. The servers can be dismissive and unaccommodating, with one even claiming to serve hundreds of people and therefore not needing detailed explanations of customer requests. Asking for warm water after a meal may result in a rude reply stating that the server is only doing so because it is not crowded. It is clear that the staff here could benefit from some lessons in hospitality.

Note, this place has changed names to Bangkok Thai Station. Decent Asian food far from home. Highlight was having real Chinese broccoli with a noodle dish.

Im a big fan of asian cuisine and travel alot for work and always looking for thai food. This was by far the worst green curry I've ever had. The restaurant itself is dank and sad looking. The food i ordered was supposed to be spicey. With thai food you usually get the type of heat that gives you the sweats and the heat pierces your taste buds but isnt intolerably hot. This was bland and sad like the restaurant it came from. Highly recommend not wasting any money here.
