The Dirty Onion - Belfast

I made a reservation here based on reviews from the FMGF app and mentioned in my booking that I have coeliac disease. A team member called to clarify that they don’t have a dedicated gluten-free menu, but several items on the menu are gluten-free, and they do use a separate fryer for fries. However, she explained that they couldn't guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. She also inquired about the severity of my reactions, as the spices used for the chicken "may contain traces of gluten." Given this information, I decided to cancel my reservation.

Great restaurant! The rotisserie chicken is delicious, and while the menu is limited to a few sides, everything is very tasty. The chicken is excellent, and I had no adverse reactions.

I visited this restaurant after hearing great reviews about the food. I inquired with the waitress about gluten-free options, anticipating limited choices given the restaurant's style. To my surprise, she informed me that nearly everything was gluten-free, except for the burger buns and crispy onions, as they use cornflour to coat their fried dishes. I decided to order the chicken wings and sweet potato fries, both of which were cooked perfectly and served impressively fast. The waitress was friendly, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend trying this place out. If I were in Northern Ireland longer, I would definitely return!

This venue is truly unique, exuding a sense of decadence that makes you feel as though it's steeped in history. I always enjoy the beers here; they have a fantastic taste.

The staff was extremely rude, and the customer service was lacking. I definitely won't be returning to this restaurant!
