Kelstar Hot Food - Belfast

This restaurant used to be called Kelstar, but I couldn't find it under its current name, The Chip Co. I ordered takeout tonight and waited over an hour. My son's kids meal had cold and hard chips, and my taco chip was mince with pink sauce, lacking any taco flavor and was overall disgusting.

The employees were unhelpful and reeked of alcohol from the night before. While I waited for my food, the language used by the staff was inappropriate and unprofessional. The food was overcooked to the point of almost being burnt.

The menu at this restaurant is excellent, and the food is delicious. The owners are highly respected in the local community. My family members brought their sick daughter in for a meal, and when they tried to pay, the owners insisted on covering the bill. Additionally, the restaurant is involved in charitable efforts, such as helping the homeless and supporting special needs schools. Well done Kelstar, you are more than just a local fish and chip shop.

Had a good night out with the sons friends from England we went to the kelstar because in the past it has been great food and easy on the pockets, especially as I am paying.

This restaurant is a wee gem. Well priced and great food. Lunch menu is value for money. Staff are excellent and make you feel and home. Great family run business that holds the community at heart.
