La Pizzeria - Beaufort County

Thought I would give this place a shout out. Stopped in for a quick beer while Christmas shopping. Tried the cheesy bread it was some of the best I ever had. We didn’t have time to try the pizza but our server (I think she was the owner) gave us a slice to go to try and let me tell you I’ve had every pizza place in Bluffton 5 times each at least and this was some of if not the best I’ve ever had. It’s NY style which is what I like. Give it a try if you’re around!

We were passing by and stopped at this place. Nice little place in the outlet mall area. Was easy to find parking. Our server was nice. We didn't have to wait to be seated. They had lunch specials too. We are vegetarians so were looking for vegetarian options only. We ordered veggie pizza and penne alla vodka. The food came out in decent time. Pizza was very flavorful. But we suspected meat in the pasta dish and asked the server and she said it didn't have any, only onions and tomatoes. But when we found pieces of meat and showed it to her, she realized that it was indeed made with bacon in it. We should have asked beforehand but from the menu description it sounded like it would not have any meat. Our server was able to switch the dish to a vegetarian option and they were able to bring the other dish out quickly. We were happy with the food and service. just keep in mind to make it clear about your dietary preferences even if the description says otherwise.Vegetarian options: Description was incorrect. But mainly our fault for not making it clear that we were looking for vegetarian options only. However when the dish came out and we suspected meat in the dish our server said it was all vegetarian, so it was little disappointing that we had to show her the pieces to convince her. Once she saw it she was really nice and switched up the order very quickly for us.Dietary restrictions: Make it absolutely clear that you do not want any meat in your dishes. Wish the menu was labeled better!Parking: Plenty of parking nearby

It's a pretty nice place for being associated with a mall. We ordered the veggie pizza and the pasta with vodka sauce. The pizza itself was okay. For the pasta, we did not expect there to be bacon, though I should have made it clear from the start that we were vegetarian, so my bad. When I first got the plate, I had some doubts, so before I even took a bite I asked the waitress if there was any meat in it. She said no, so I went ahead and ate some. After a few bites, it still felt like there was meat. I ended up finding a chunk of bacon, and asked for a different dish. Though the waitress insisted it was still vegetarian if it had bacon, she was kind enough to get me a different dish (penne with a pesto cream sauce). While the replacement was pretty good, I would caution anyone who can't eat meat (for personal or religious reasons) to be clear from the get go about that.

Great place! They’ve got the consistency both ways!

We had a lovely experience with staff. Very attentive. The food was so much we got lunch for the next . If you leave hungry then you did something wrong. Will come back when we are in the area again.
