If you enjoy sushi, you absolutely must dine here. The food is surprisingly excellent, with fresh ingredients and homemade cocktails that are truly unique. Peter, the owner and chef, is fantastic and pays close attention to the small details that really make this place stand out. The atmosphere is very charming and eclectic, especially with the late-night sushi disco. Thank you for your hospitality and for making us feel so welcome.
We arrived at the restaurant on a rainy Saturday for lunch. It was quiet, but Chef Peter warmly welcomed us and quickly seated us. I ordered a well-poured Sapporo beer, while my spouse asked for a house cocktail which she really enjoyed. The Chef suggested a variety of dishes, all of which were fantastic. The presentation of the plates was excellent and it was enjoyable to eat with chopsticks. We tried kimchi, seaweed salad (highly recommend), soybeans in shell, a pork dish, short rib, and shrimp tempura. By the end of the meal, we were full and satisfied. We decided to finish with a sake tasting, which we highly recommend.
Finally! Something other than burgers and fries! The food was 5 , the prices were 5 with exception to the 12 dollar caesar, and I would have given 5 for all but there could have been more to choose from. That being said, quality over quantity is key. The staff were uber friendly as well. The atmosphere was welcoming and super chill. They're open til 3am and I heard they were getting a DJ for the night. We'll definitely be back with our friends!
Delicious Japanese tapas in Bayfield. Great portion sizes too. My favourites were the wakame salad, short rib tempura, tonkatsu, and the sake chocolate truffles though everything I tried on the menu was wonderful. Would highly recommend this place!
