The Hideaway - Bassetlaw

I recently visited The Hideaway with some friends and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and portion sizes were generous. The background music added to the ambiance without being too loud to have a conversation. The staff was friendly and eager to please. I would definitely go back and will be recommending this place to others.

We stopped by for lunch and were pleased to find that the food was freshly cooked. I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, which was filled with plenty of chicken and bacon and was very tasty. My husband opted for the spaghetti bolognese, which looked so good that I had to try it myself. I was not disappointed. The restaurant had a lovely setting and the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Found The Hideaway by accident while looking for an open restaurant, nice hosts, excellent food/prices, and we got to chat to locals ended a weeks tour with a great evening, and our great grandson also found a friend he wants to meet again. We had three different meals, al excellent They also offer a delivery service Thanks to all concerned.

You will find this cocktail/gin bar in a small precinct in the centre of Retford. It’s basically a shop unit which they have transformed. The drinks are well presented and reasonable. Worth a look in.
