Excellent pub for a traditional and tasty pub lunch. large vegetarian and vegan options available. very generous portions and a large selection of local beers.

Finally a pub that serves more than just pale ales! beautiful traditional pub with beer garden. a visit for the beer worth.

Personal very pleasant and chatty, we ordered eating from the simple pub menu, but when it arrived, it was anything but easy. puddings were very tasty,jam sponge with the best custard I had eaten in a dae, just perfectly cut off.

Had the chicken and speck caesar salad, really generous portion and very tasty. I had no bad meal yet. Go on.

Great beers (3 or 4 real ale choices) mostly by Wellbeck Abbey, and excellent food. Friendly to visitors, and gets surprisingly busy in the tap room on weekday afternoons. Very large lounge if you want it quiet.
