Costa - Basingstoke and Deane

I visited this restaurant today and found the staff to be very unprofessional and rude. I was humiliated in front of many customers who also agreed that I handled the situation well. I have filed a complaint with the head office as this store is poorly managed.

I have visited many Costa Coffee shops, and I can honestly say that this is the worst one. Some of the staff do not smile or greet customers; in fact, one of them was extremely rude to me. When I tried to help by putting used coffee cups on a tray and placing them on some shelves, a very rude man shouted at me not to put them there because they didn't belong. He didn't offer to take them from me or say thank you; he just walked away. I have never been spoken to like that before. I believe the staff at this store really need training on customer service and should start greeting customers with a smile. I recommend visiting the Costa Coffee in the hospital, where the staff are friendly and helpful. If the staff at this location are unhappy in their work, they should consider finding another job. I definitely will not be returning to this coffee shop.

The staff at this restaurant were rude and did not follow the order instructions like every other Costa location. Despite specifically requesting coconut milk due to a severe milk allergy, they made the drink with regular milk. When asked to remake it with coconut milk, they were unhelpful and impolite.

I pop in most mornings on my walk to work and the staff are very kind and efficient in my opinion. The recent refurb looks great. Wish the shop was in a bigger unit however as it is often veryyyy busy and gets a bit cramped. The poor staff are rushed off their feet a lot of the time!

Typical Shopping centre Costa. We use it quite regularly.
