Papa Joe's - Basel

The location is very central and lively. Nice ambience and decorations inside and the terrace is lovely! The food was good; I do not recommend the nachos though. The salad was fresh, crunchy and very tasty and the fries as well. The staff are polite and professional. You get a free lollipop with the bill to forget that prices are exaggerated ;

It's a pretty trendy place with LOTS of tasty/mouth-watering options. Definitely not the most affordable hamburger place in Basel, but the options are hands down juicy and delish. I love a well-prepared homemade burger and their cheeseburger reminded me of that for some reason. They have a good range of cocktails and food to share as well. Oh, loved the décor lastly.

We like this place a lot. Food is usually very tasty and portion are good. The service was ok it could be better if the waitresses would give people 2min before asking the drinks. We could reserve without a problem on a weekday and we can have a special decorations on the table when you tell them it is your birthday: The drinks are very good and price is around Sfr12, Sfr14,. Today the ribs were not good, unfortunately. Almost no meat, mostly bones : Well located, many public transportation around, decorations inside are really creative, bathroom was clean. Overall, one of the best tex mex in Basel for sure the most well known.

Positiw surprised by the burgers, very tasty. the cocktails are really cheap, but also very light. I will not make it up to pay a bit more to have it wiith a decent level of alcohol (I should not order a virgin cocktail all together it was still a positive experience.

The restaurant exist over 20 years so you can feel the history of the place in the photos and decorations and it gives great family restaurant vibe atmosphere. . We came with a 2 years old and got a baby chair . Service was ok... Our waiter didn't speak any English and couldn't explain us things but he was nice . The food was ok-.. I ordered a steak which was ok but not great. Very salty and thin . Overall the food is ok but not great which is a shame since the location and atmosphere are amazing.
