Our visit to Cartell in Basel was truly exceptional and left us thoroughly impressed. Right from the start, our taste buds were tantalized by the nachos served with homemade guacamole and an array of five different salsas. The combination of crispy nachos and the fresh, creamy guacamole was a delightful treat, and the assortment of salsas provided an unexpected burst of flavors. For our main course, we had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of tacos. I opted for the selection with beef, poultry, shrimp, and fish, while my partner preferred the chicken and beef tacos. Each taco was a masterpiece on its own – the fillings were perfectly balanced, and the tortillas were fresh and authentic. However, what truly made the experience memorable was not just the outstanding food, but also the impeccable service. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They ensured that our evening went smoothly and that we felt genuinely welcomed. Overall, our evening at Cartell was a culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. The quality of the dishes, the diversity of flavors, and the excellence of the service undoubtedly deserve a five-star rating. We wholeheartedly recommend Cartell and will certainly return to relish this exceptional dining experience once again.

Amazingly delicious Mexican (inspired) food. I would never think to come to Switzerland and have such yummy tacos. Tasty margaritas, fantastic guacamole...service was friendly and fast. Average price for the area. Two thumbs up and highly recommend.

One of the best fish tacos I have tried in my life. Yesterday, my partner and I went to this amazing Mexican restaurant and I was amazing. We had their speciality chorizo tacos, fish tacos and cheese quesadilla. Also, the chocolate pudding. Everything was super delicious! Service was really nice, thanks Jenny and all the team in cartell restaurant, after 6 hours driving was all we needed! If you are in Basel and you love Mexican food, I really recommend this place.
