Blue Bird Cafe - BARMERA

Small cafe, simply decorated but comfortable and the service, kindness of the owner and food were superb. Had a steak sandwich with the lot including the best steak and partner had seafood mix. Excellent quality crumbed seafood. A unique experience and much enjoyed.

Great coffee, friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating. I didn't have any food because it's right near the cheesetart shop... but the food looked good.

Only found this by chance and pleased i did cafee has a memorial wall to Donald campbell and his attempts on the world speed records on water (at the lake) and on land . Cafe is licensed appears all food is home cooked. You can eat inside or under shelter overlooking the lakes ( a good warm day alternative) Highly recommend this its non the lake road about 1 kilometer after the corner pub.

Here on the shore of Barmera's Lake Bonney is the home of great food. It is a delight to be served by Eddie and his family. Always greeted and made welcome. Sometimes a wait for meal but a glass of wine while waiting and enjoying the famous sunsets is a pleasure. Locals know this is a relaxing dinner venue.

You must try the garlic and chilli prawns with rice, either eat in or take away.Very casual dining, with great food. Also enjoy a wine while you sit out the front watching Lake Bonney just being beautiful.Owners always friendly, prices are good as well as a great range of take away.Eat inside in the air conditioning if the Riverland turns on a 40 plus day. Fresh salads are a must with most meals.Just relax and enjoy
