Barmera Hotel

2 night weekend stay. Motel room ok, was clean but very dated, air conditioner old and noisy. Very limited utensils. Meal at hotel was nice and reasonably priced. Staff helpful and friendly. Very disappointed in the state of the motel pool. The lake not usable and so booked somewhere with a pool. It was green and dirty, not nice at all.

The hotel rooms and facilities are in extremely poor condition. The grounds are unkempt and un usable. The rooms and bathrooms were not clean and had a mouldy smell The utensils had not been washed Worst room I’ve ever been in

Seafood basket and chicken supreme were lovely meals, very large and fairly priced. Just unfortunate they took 50 minutes to come out. Worth the wait. Staff were running and very good. Just need more of them a shortage of staff is common these days.

Unless you are prepared to wait an hour and a half for a meal on a quiet Monday night, don't bother. We will not be returning.

I stayed in Barmera for three nights as part of a trip to Uluru and I wanted to photograph Lake Bonney. The lake was incredibly photogenic and everything I hoped for! But... a man needs to eat and it seems there are only two choices for an evening meal the Barmera Club or the Barmera Hotel. I did my research and that told me to avoid the hotel and eat at the club. Unfortunately, when I got there on the first night it was closed due to a C19 outbreak with all the staff so the hotel was the only choice and because it was Saturday night it was packed with seemingly happy customers so I thought maybe the reviews were wrong! They weren't... three meals in three night and each one was awful.
