Cerveceria Al Sur - Barbate

This is a family affair. The owners brother has done all of the lovely wood carved bar himself. Her Dad, has painted the art for the walls. This is a simple little cafe, but it has a lovely gentle, friendly feel. The menu is simple, but good. They do a great big warm chicken sandwich and lovely salads. So not a gourmet venue, but perfect for a lovely, lazy, relaxed lunch. All served with a genuine smile and easy music.

We visited for a few beers and snacks. Fried fish and squid were excellent and at a great price. This place is perfect for lunch and being Caños difficult for a budget this is the best for value

I am not going to comment on food quality or prices, because it's not about it. We literally had our beautiful day ruined by the guy working at this place. He might have been an owner. So we came into this place to have some food and we ordered 3 tortitas de camarones, 1 empanada and 1 of those big sandwiches that come with fries and so on. They're really huge, so we took only one. Then the waitress appears with our food, but instead of 1 big sandwich (I don't remember how it was called now) she brings us 3. We kindly said we only asked for 1 and she takes it back to the kitchen...and then all hell breaks loose. This guy that took our order comes out and literally starts yelling at us in front of everybody saying that we asked for 3 and that he may never be wrong about the number. He made us feel very uncomfortable and this whole show contuined for quite a while..one of us tried to talk to him and even offered to pay for 1 extra sandwich (I don't even know why would we do that), but this guy just kept yelling and acting as a child. We had native speaker among us, so really, we know what we have ordered and it wasn't a first time for us in this cerveceria. All in all day was completely ruined, moods went down and promises of never ever coming back to this place were made.

Esta cerveceria me encantaba ir porque antes hacían una albóndigas de retinta para chuparse los dedos, cada vez que voy a los caños suelo ir dos o tres veces en mi estancia por allí, pero este año no se que ha pasado pero ha sido regular, hay algunos camareros nuevos donde la primera vez que fui este año tardaron muchísimo en atendernos, puedo comprenderlo porque hay mucha gente y son personas no maquinas, pero la segunda vez que fui me dieron mesa, luego a los 10 minutos me levantaron a mi y a otras personas, las que casi me quedo sin comer, creo que eso fue un poco de mala organización y ya después me pedí una hamburguesa de retina y me puse malisima. Sería el mal cuerpo de todo el día o no se pero me sentó fatal. No sé si volveré a darle una segunda oportunidad cuando vuelva por los caños, pero si vuelvo hamburguesa no pedire

Todo muy rico. Mejoraría la calidad del pan en los montaditos.
