Cindy's Café Coffee House - Baraboo

We really enjoyed this restaurant last year, but our visit today was disappointing. They used to offer a daily menu that included a special sandwich, soup, and potato salad—simple but delicious. Now, they have pre-made sandwiches in a glass case and a whole grill setup, but it seems they don't actually cook anything. While the baked goods and coffee were decent, the staff member at the counter was quite unfriendly. She acted as if we were inconveniencing her just by being there, and treated us as if our questions were foolish. It's unfortunate because the place used to feel welcoming and charming.

I drove across town to have breakfast at 9 am before leaving, but unfortunately, they were closed. They didn't update their hours on Google.

I dined at this restaurant twice during my vacation in the Dells. My first experience was not very good, but since we were locals, we decided to give it another shot. Unfortunately, the cupcakes were dry and lacked freshness on both occasions. I tried the birthday cake and carrot cake flavors; while they tasted good, they weren't moist and didn't justify the price. The chicken salad was overly heavy on the mayo, making it less enjoyable. They also burned my granddaughter's grilled cheese sandwich, but they were kind enough to remake it for her. Overall, it was suitable for quick meals, but I expected better.

Nice little cafe with good coffee. You can also get good ice cream here. They have indoor and outdoor seating and also wifi. They're located next door to a craft mall and antique mall.

I was introduced to Justjosie Cake Design and Sweets during the Boys and Girls Club Havana Nights Event Winter of 2022. It was SO GOOD, that we sought it out the next day for more. Now I know what the rest of the locals are saying, what about Neato 's in Baraboo, or Pies from Log Cabin? Not to take anything from them, but this team knows what they are doing! Want a true 'Cake Boss from Buddy and the Gang type ' Carlo 's Bakery Cake, yeah they can do that!!!
