Our server was a sweet girl and did all she could but the food was terrible. It all started with our coffees and hot cocoa that were cold. The French dip 's meat was rubber. The ham and cheese croissant was ok and the bruschetta was passable.

We were a party of four. 3 of us got the hamburger Steak plate with the following sides Cole slaw, onion rings, potato salad, and fries. Also one person had a 6 ounce Classic burger all the way with potato chips. The food was delicious and not so expensive. I highly recommend The Banner Elk Cafe Tavern.
