Fairmount Market - Bangor

Tonight I ordered a pizza, phones up by the second ring and I place my order. Just at the end of the order I start to say “kinda on the well done side”, but I don’t think it made it out in time. I get there and a young man rushes over to the oven and pulls out my pizza. He then begins to apologize for over cooking it, offering it to me for free and everything. I just ate the whole pizza and it was probably the best I’ve had in a while. Already looking forward to my next one.

I have been going to Fairmount Market since I was 10yrs old with my parents to pickup sandwiches. This one of my top sandwich places in Bangor for lunch. They have huge salads, fried chicken, lots of sides (like the bean salad) and great subs at low cost. Definitely a great spot.

Some of the best subs around. I eat there often. Haven't tried the chicken salad but the fried chicken is amazing. It's the ONLY souce for decent sandwiches not the Coffee Pot is gone.

Gross! They make chicken salad sandwich with miracle whip!!! If I had wanted miracle whip on my chicken salad sandwich I would have asked for it. Very disappointed.

People told me the chicken there was very good so I had some a while back and thought it was OK but not that good. Then this past week I got a chicken BTL from there and it was terrible. The roll was a bit stale, the chicken had no flavor and was very chewy, the bacon tasted all right but was so fatty it was too chewy, I had to spit it out because I couldn't chew it up, it was like bubble gum, the lettuce was all the white part of the lettuce and the tomatoes were smooshy. Over all it lacked in flavor and it was hard to swallow. I only hate half of it and gave up. I was disappointed.
