Tony Roma's Mount Royal - Banff

I want to give a quick shoutout to the manager and the server at this restaurant. We stopped by for lunch but arrived a bit early. The manager kindly allowed us to sit down and place our order ahead of time. We were particularly interested in the beef ribs, which are no longer on the menu. Once again, the manager was accommodating and informed us that he had enough for one order available in the back. Their attentiveness made our experience very enjoyable, and we greatly appreciated it!

We visited this restaurant for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, thanks to our server Tyler, who made great recommendations for dishes that were absolutely delicious! For appetizers, we tried the spicy shrimp, which was phenomenal. The portion size was large enough for three people to share. I ordered a grilled shrimp salad that was seasoned to perfection, and the combination of roasted tomatoes, grilled onions, and shrimp was delightful. My kids loved their pizza and grilled chicken, and the servings were generous, each coming with a drink and ice cream. The beef ribs were tender, and the sauce was incredibly tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!

Overall, it was a good meal, although the service was a bit slow. It's unfortunate to see this restaurant shutting down.

I believe we were fortunate to have a fantastic server. She provided excellent and efficient service for a mid-range restaurant. However, we did notice that others around us did not have the same experience. Remember, this is Tony Roma’s, not the Banff Springs Hotel; if you keep that in mind, you’ll probably get what you expect.

The food took an additional 25 minutes to arrive, but we were informed about the wait before being seated. Unfortunately, many of the fountain drinks weren’t available. We also witnessed several glasses being dropped on the floor, and a drink from the bar was spilled across our table. Additionally, half of the St. Louis ribs were burnt. However, they did compensate us for that meal and dessert. We noticed some unusual situations at other tables as well. I’ve dined at TR's before, so I didn’t expect high-end dining, but the overall experience was somewhat chaotic. On a positive note, we did enjoy the rest of the food, and the staff was friendly.
