Sushi Bistro - Banff

After eating steak and bison and all these heavy meals during our week in Banff we were on a hunt for something light for dinner. Generally you wouldn't think sushi in the middle of the Canadian rockies but it was there and easy to find...with plenty of tables so in we went. The hostess/server handed us a menu without instructions. They have a plastic erasable sheet with everything listed along with the price and another well worn picture book showing each dish. After about minutes we figured out that you use the erasable marker and fill out the order card with your order which you then hand to the server. I stuck with simple sushi and very traditional rolls. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I'd recommend the restaurant but stick with the basics. This is not a fancy place but certainly ok option for something different than steaks and chops

Was here for the week at a conference. Came into town and tried sushi here. Had come years ago. Food was good considering we were not by the cost. Inexpensive compared to other offerings in town. Staff very good and friendly. Will come again in...March

The items we had were OK but not great. Service was good. Chicken tempura and tuna nigiri were better than other items

Enjoyed everything we ordered and the staff was very friendly. Portions were a bit small but otherwise fully satisfied

The food here was so good that we came back a second time during our stay in Banff. Basic menu with all your Japanese favorites. Reasonable prices and very nice staff made it even more appealing
