Contribuiți la feedbackDuring a recent shopping trip to Ballymena, one of our favorite treats was visiting this restaurant where I would always order their delicious 'club sandwich'. Unfortunately, on our latest visit, I was disappointed to find that the menu had changed to a set price lunch option of £5.95, featuring various chicken and beef dishes. My beloved club sandwich was no longer available. I settled for a starter of the soup of the day, which was served in a shallow dish and lacked in portion size. Priced at £3.95, it did not offer good value for money. The meal came with a small slice of bread and butter, but no knife was provided. Despite enjoying this restaurant in the past, we will not be returning unless they bring back their previous menu offerings and improve their portion sizes.
Called, into this, pub?? For a few beer, with mates, the bar staff, were absolutely, atrocious, one had a roll up tucked behind her ear, serving food!!!!!!! a so called supervisor, stood at the end of the bar on a mobile phone, customers, queued up, Where in god's name was the management, it was disgusting, to watch, Miss roll up,went behind the bar, continued, on the Mobile phone, attempting to serve, customers, whoops time for another roll up, let's do it at the end of the bar!!!! Right next to the kitchen, close it down, or sack the lot,!!!! HEAlTH and SAFETY, were the hell are you!!!!!!!!
As a big fan of live music, I went there on Saturday night to hear the young chap on the guitar. While he was excellent, the pubs sound system was not, blasting in some areas, hard to hear in others. When I went to get a pint on the ground floor, NINE of the taps had glasses covering them, indicating that particular beer had ran out. At 20.30 on a Saturday night? Upstairs I went to get another pint and after queuing for nearly 5 minutes, I was told they don't serve pints upstairs! Should have been obvious to me as again the number of taps covered with glasses far outnumbered those without. Downstairs into another 10 minute queuing wait, while the three staff had discussions in between serving the odd customer. Back upstairs, music finished, went to use the loo. Closed. Back downstairs male urinals were overflowing. At that point, I left, went to another bar. Unfortunately this is not a one off and there comes a time when you really don't want to go back. This saddens me as the Mill used to be a great place to go and I like to support venues that offer live music.
Had the best steak chips and pfeffer sauce of my life yesterday evening at this place, in any case his back staff were also very friendly and helpful
Eat good quality and serve extremely fast. the price was fantastic and the beer was cheap.
