Ballarat Yacht Club

This was our first meal at the Ballaarat Yacht Club, it won't be our lastAs we explore the menu our rating will probably quickly improve.

An excellent location on Lake Wendouree, outdoor dining on the deck no table service outside.

Great service, atmosphere and food needs recognition so thus I recommend The Yacht Club to anyone who wants the ultimate Ballarat experience. Located on Lake Wendouree it is a perfect position. However the excellent service, with a smile, enhances the experience. We had elderly visitors and the staff could not have been more helpful. We requested a few alterations to dishes which were amicably done. Our meals were delicious, especially the calamari and the fish.

We went here for a coffee to escape the cold while circumnavigating the lake and found it to be a cosy refuge. The coffee was good and whilst the menu was not inspiring enough to draw us back for breakfast it seemed more than satisfactory. There are certainly magnificent views of the lake.

As we arrived a few minutes before 12, we had just missed the breakfast menu. However, our waitress made sure that we could order from either the breakfast or lunch menu which was fabulous. Two of our group ordered eggs and bacon which were cooked to perfection, and were perched on some delectable hot, buttered toast. The other two members of our group ordered lunch items which were equally as delicious. We finished off with coffee and cake. We all ordered the lemon friand which was served with fresh cream and tangy lemon curd. Yum!
