Sugar Mill - Bakersfield

My wife and I absolutely adore this restaurant. First of all, it has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and is never too crowded, allowing you to enjoy your meal while having a nice conversation. The staff is fantastic as well; my coffee cup is always filled! Most importantly, the food is delicious, and the portions are quite generous. We shared a combo skillet for breakfast, and it was fantastic. All of these factors make it well worth the drive to North Chester.

I visited this restaurant for breakfast this morning and ordered the Chile Verde omelette, along with hash browns and biscuits and gravy—everything was delicious! My kids both enjoyed waffles and bacon from the kids' menu. I couldn't resist sneaking a few bites of the waffle, and it was wonderful as well. The service was great, making it an excellent spot to eat.

Absolutely fantastic home cooking! The Prime Rib and Steak dinners rank among the very best in Bakersfield. The Sunday dinners featuring home-cooked, freshly carved turkey with all the trimmings are simply unbeatable, and Monday's Hot Turkey Sandwiches are a real treat. It's an outstanding value for the quality of food you get!
