Happy Jack 's Pie 'n Burger

Hometown, mom pop (real sisters,! Lunch-counter experience with fresh food made from ground to in-house, even the icy! sitting on the midday table are real chairs that move, they can feel comfortable here. I recommend this incredibly friendly food facility!

Ruby and franziskus have served here for over 45 years excellent eating. I have been here for many years, eating is always excellent. At noon, her cheeseburger or my favourite ortega burger will always satisfy. they open at 18 o'clock to the breakfast. my favorites is her chili verde omelette, gosh is good. they serve it with cheese top. they are delicious. they come in and they say hello to francis, who will wait for them while their man rubin, will cook for them. Don't forget a piece of cake. Note: they are just a cash.

Food and service was great! a few fyi. the hamburgers are juicy and to moderately rare cooked. they are open m f 7:00 clock 2:30 clock. only cash, no bills greater than $20.

I had an Ortega Cheeseburger, it was just as messy, and just as delicious as I remember. It's been a few years, but not much had changed. I love the 50's atmosphere, music and cuisine. I had to pass this time, but if you have a chance, their homemade pies are the best in town. Prices have increased a bit, but definitely worth ever penny.

Definitely Recommend! : Sadly we didn't get to eat inside this time, due to our time constraints, everything about this place felt welcoming, the service was amazing. This sweet lady took my order and even recommended the Jack's Potatoes, which were amazing and enough for two. After placing my order, another sweet lady came and had a very pleasant conversation with me. When I picked up our food about 10 minutes later, we were so delighted by what we received. A sausage egg and cheese potato burrito, which tasted amazing, and made me feel like a kid at Nanas house, my husband's burger, he said was so thick and juicy, and tasted so good, both meals were gone so fast. We are going back on our next trip to Bakersfield, do yourself a favor and head over to this awesome restaurant We do have one regret, not taking pictures of the amazing food and the beautiful decor.
