Contribuiți la feedbackI had a truly disappointing experience at The Leaning Tree Italian restaurant for our 13th-anniversary celebration. We drove an hour to get there from Raleigh, only to find ourselves facing multiple issues. Firstly, the food was grossly overpriced for what it was. To make matters worse, when we received a hamburger that was raw, the female owner not only refused to acknowledge the problem but also became confrontational and threatening, insisting it was an Italian hamburger. It took immense effort, including input from three other employees and almost coming to blows from the owner, to finally have our entree replaced.Furthermore, the excessive amount of raw garlic sprinkled on our side items was overwhelming and unpalatable, making it impossible to finish our meal. As someone who considers themselves an Italian food connoisseur, having visited Italy multiple times and experienced authentic cuisine both in the countryside and big cities, this restaurant fell far short of our expectations. The confrontation with the owner, coupled with the disappointing food quality, has left us with no choice but to never return. I regret to say that I cannot recommend the Leaning Tree Italian restaurant to any of my friends or family based on this dreadful experience.
Nice find! Food was excellent with outstanding service and atmosphere.
A special date night spot that my wife loves! My wife’s family is from New England and when they come to visit we’re always at the Leaning Tree. Authentic Italian dishes ?Dietary restrictions: My sister in law is gluten free. We called ahead to make a reservation and they even got gluten free pasta for her that night! Very accommodating
Not impressed at all. Olive Garden way better and cheaper. Least I get salad and breadsticks and no automatic tip.
Last Friday, I was treated to dinner at The Leaning Tree, a restaurant my friend spoke very highly of. This is located just outside Wilson, and as my friend did, I highly recommend it! I felt comfortable instantly upon entering the lobby; everyone was hospitable and the dining area was gracefully decorated. What really impressed me was the taste of my entrée: marvelously delectable! I ordered salmon with zucchini squash (which I smothered with the gravy that accompanied my fish . I tried my friend’s chicken, and I reacted in a similar fashion (although I prefer the salmon ? . To give credence to their great hospitality, at exactly 9 pm (closing time , my server suggested I try their dessert. Surprised with his consideration and patience, I ordered the lemon cake. I was pleased the cake wasn’t overly sweetened—it was perfect, as was my dinner experience at The Leaning Tree! ?
