Woo Jung has been in Ayer 33 years and there is a reason for it. Quality and good service. I remember this place went stationed on Devens in the 90s and it's still good food. It's a simple low frills decor on the inside but comfortable. Very clean and tidy. I like the intro of scissors to cut the long noodles.
This once stellar Korean restaurant has nosedived into a pit of despair under its new unfriendly and downright greedy owner. It's a sad excuse for dining, a mere shadow of its former glory. Gone are the smiles, replaced by servers so slow and inattentive you'd think they're doing you a favor. The lighting and interior are nothing short of horrendous, creating an atmosphere that's downright depressing. And let's talk prices they have the audacity to blame inflation while charging a whopping $22 for a bowl of Jajangmyun and $5 for a bowl of white rice. It's practically daylight robbery. The owners seem to think they're entitled to siphon money from patrons without offering anything in return. Instead of investing in the place, they're using inflation as an excuse to double the cost of items you can get elsewhere for half the price. What was once the crown jewel of Korean Chinese cuisine in Boston has become an embarrassment. The owners should use the money they're greedily taking from patrons to at least clean up and renovate this dump. It's a disgrace to think people are still coming here expecting quality Korean food. Save yourself the disappointment and steer clear. Someone with respect for customers and real appreciation for Korean cuisine should open a new spot in the area to rescue unsuspecting diners from wasting their money on this pitiful excuse for a restaurant.
Very modest dining room as others have noted, the food is the star of this operation. You must try it for yourself!!!
The bibimbap is to die for. Every time we get it, the food is consistently delicious. Also the food is always ready in a timely manner and the workers are extremely nice.
