Meltemi Pizza and Family Restaurant

Finding a restaurant that has both great Greek and Italian food was a happy day for our family. My son who loves his pizza raved about the Margherita pizza and was thrilled to have hummus as well. There are 2 convenient wine stores across the street perfect for BYOB.

We got takeaway vine leaves, taziki, tabouli with quinoa and Istanbul salad. The vines leave tasted amazing. The leaves were delicious and the rice light and fluffy. There were tiny which increased ration of vine leaf to rice. About 2 cm long and 1/2cm width. I adored them. The tabouli was good too after I douce fit extra olive oil but quinoa works in stead of wheat. The serving of taziki was tasty but small. Tip: get lots and lots of vine leaves

This has been a favourite for our family for many many years however we have noticed over the past couple of visits the pizza's are not as great and the garlic bread is constantly burnt on the bottom.. Shame as we really loved the pizza here and looked forward to our Sunday Pizza.

Our family have just fled this establishment. It's the worst pizza I have ever had. What was that stuff they called pepperoni? Surely it shouldn't be as mushy as pate whilst looking a sick kind of purple in colour. I tried to pull it off so I could enjoy the rest of the pizza but it too was tasteless. Honestly, I did not think pizza could be savaged this badly. I looked up at the family hoping I was the unlucky one but everyone voted the same way - with left pizzas. I was so incredulous I just wanted out, paid and left. When I asked , I said in an embarrassed way ' it was awful' but they just shrugged and took the money. I have only just looked at the bill now I am home $86 for 4 really bad pizzas. Do yourselves a favour people - don't do it.

I ordered a Greek lamb takeaway a few months ago and it wasn't so good. The sauce was watery, the portions were small and really $25 for a small container of meat and potato is OTP. As I do really like Greek lamb I decided to give the place a second chance last weekend, in the hope that the previous experience was an aberration. Sadly not. Same disappointing result. If you do go here, don't get the lamb.
