Happy Lemon - AVALON BEACH

There are so many asian milk tea/bubble tea/fruit tea places around, but Happy Lemon does stand out from the crowd. The various flavour combinations on the menu are unique and refreshing. I have tried the highly recommended Green tea with cheese rock salt. The clear green tea sits on the bottom, while a creamy cheese foam is on top, then sprinkled with rock sea salt. Weird combination you may think? But once you taste it, the marriage of these flavours work so well! When you drink this, you don't mix it together. There is a special technique in which you must drink. You just need to sip the green tea, let the foam touch your lips and then as you finish your sip, lick the foam from your lips! Mmmmm...... the flavour is incredible! A must try! I have also tried the Honey Lemon with seaweed jelly. Not too sweet and the jellies are a nice addition to the drink.

What a hidden treasure! The decor is beautiful and the space is spacious, so you don't feel crowded. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the char-grilled octopus. The service was a bit slow but very polite. The complimentary wine was a great bonus. We returned for dinner and once again had a fantastic experience. The food was wonderful, the staff was amazing, and the value was undeniable.

The service is great, and while the prices are not cheap they are definitely very competitive compared with the other Mod Aus hotel establishments. The dishes are well portioned, with balanced flavours and textures. The venue feels spacious but the quiet ambiance enables a comfortable private evening dining experience.

The bar and lobby are beautiful, but this restaurant will definitely be expensive. $24 for a cocktail is steep! I really enjoyed the Art Deco design in the foyer/lobby. The service and decor were excellent, but the prices may be a bit high.
