Raku Sushi Asian Bistro - Austin

I absolutely love this sushi restaurant near UT! It's tough to find delicious sushi around the Guadalupe area, but this place is fantastic. Their yaki soba (stir fry noodles), Shaggy Dog roll, and spicy tuna roll are the best in Austin. It can get quite busy, and the service may vary, but I keep coming back just for the Shaggy Dog roll! As for parking, you can park in the garage right next to the restaurant, and they will validate your parking ticket.

The food I received was very disappointing. I ordered a bento box for dinner through Postmates, expecting something nice, but I was completely let down. The chicken teriyaki was nothing but dry chicken breast covered in cheap barbecue sauce. The salad was drenched in water, making it unappetizing. I’m incredibly frustrated, especially after spending a decent amount of money at a restaurant that has a 4.7+ rating on Postmates. It’s hard to understand how they maintain such a high rating with food this careless and poorly prepared. I feel cheated. What a letdown!

The food quality did not justify the price. However, the restrooms were clean and well-maintained. The service was relatively quick considering the 6 PM crowd.

Food was not the best. From the beginning the front girl was rude and seemed overwhelmed. Not a 2nd time around restaurants waiter never refilled our drinks, no utensils had to ask fornsoy sauce and other condiments. Noodles seemed like they were from a package. Very dissapointed.

Absolutely delicious. We went twice in one day. They didn't have a cucumber roll on the menu but made it for me anyways. Phenomenal place highly recommend.Food: 5/5
