You can select any two (salad, pizza, soup or sandwich). They ran out of the cucumber reviver which is one of my favorite drinks. Our server, James was wonderful. Excellent service. Out bill totaled $83.59 for 5 of us. That's an amazing price and great quantity of food. The ambiance is comfortable. We all were full and left home happy
I really miss the quality of California Pizza Kitchen. I especially crave the tortilla pizza with the Mexican beans and sour cream. I mentioned I needed to request the gluten free crust because I was gluten intolerant. While waiting for our pizza, they started brooming the restaurant because there was no one else at the restaurant. It was a little bit disrespectful given we felt dust flying towards us. When the pizza came out, I took one bite and thought the crust seemed like regular crust. This prompted me to confirm with the server just in case. He got defensive and rude and basically said I didn 't know what I was talking about and shouldn 't be questioning his performance (I didn 't I literally simply asked whether he was sure this was gluten free crust). With his impassioned assurances, I continued to eat it but my gut (pun intended) didn 't believe the response. About 15 minutes later, a manager came out and told me the pizza was not gluten free because the server was never told. Him, and by now the server standing next to him, both denied that gluten free was even requested and as proof they showed me the order the server punched in. Instead of arguing, we asked for to go boxes, paid the bill (in full) and left (only to donate the food).
If you come here expect to eat next to flies the entire time. I also felt they were severely understaffed as they told me to wait while they clean up some tables- even though more than half the tables were empty at the time. The poor waitress that served me seemed to overworked as well. The food was honestly delicious but Im very concerned about how safe the food is. When I came in they told me that ALL of their avocados expired for some odd reason but with the four fruit flies that hovered around me the entire time I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a nightmare of food hazards in the kitchen. The water they gave me was yellowish and tasted really wierd, I'll update if I get sick from this. They also gave me only one napkin when the pizza had sauce with it- meaning it would get messy fast. And they didn't even combine my extras onto the pizza, just gave me it on the side. I had to ask twice to get anything, so fed up with this, I just left.
We waited along with another lady and her daughter to be greeted at the host stand. No one ever showed up. We left after standing there for 10 minutes with various employees just shining us on. Maybe the host was abducted by aliens. Or decided to go shopping.
I remembering going to this CPK location years ago. It's a little worn down, but still has good food and service. We stopped in for a quick snack before heading over to the greenbelt. We ordered the avocado club egg rolls and the Buffalo cauliflower. I could tell our waitress had a lot of tables, but she was really working hard and she was nice every time she stopped by our table. The egg rolls came out piping hot full of chicken, cheese, avocado, and veggies. The Buffalo cauliflower was surprisingly good, I simply wish there was more of it. We're talking cauliflower, not chicken wings. Anyway, the flavors were good and service was on top of it.
