Sheraton Athlone

I marked down service due to delay replenishing the breakfast buffet, otherwise service was excellent and staff are very pleasant.

I have been to The Sheraton Hotel in Athlone twice in the past 2 months and I honestly wish I could give more stars!! First of all in August 2023, they catered to my cousin's Hen party (40 ladies and fulfilled all requests to a tee! It was so lovely to take the stress away and have a good team working behind the scenes. My friend and I had a wonderful two-day getaway at this restaurant. We truly have no complaints. We enjoyed dinner at the restaurant each night, the food was amazing, and Olha provided excellent service. The reception staff were very kind and accommodating, always willing to help. We visit this place every year and are already excited for next year! Thank you again for a great experience!

This is a great hotel in a fantastic location. My husband and I spent 4 nights at the Sheraton in October 2023. The rooms are wonderful, and the dining options are better than expected for a hotel. We would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to Athlone. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel itself is very nice, with welcoming staff at reception. We enjoyed drinks and food in the bar, which were delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. However, it was quite crowded with multiple events happening at the same time. The room was a bit run down compared to the website. Ordering room service was not very clear and the menu was limited. The leisure centre also did not meet expectations from the website photos. The "hot" tub was cold and the thermal pool was freezing. It was also open to the public, so there were loud young people playing in the pool, making it difficult to relax. Additionally, the reception area overlooked the pool, making it feel very public and lacking privacy. We left the leisure centre after only 5 minutes.
