Thyme - Athlone

Such a lovely evening spent at the Thyme restaurant. We received a lovely warm welcome, with very attentive service throughout. The food was delicious and I would highly recommend. A lovely atmosphere within and a lovely touch by staff providing a personalised birthday dessert. You can't go wrong to pay a visit here

Oh my. How John and his team produce such consistently high quality food is such a tiny kitchen is beyond me. Never disappoints. Super super food and great service. Hard to get a table sometimes but I suspect that if they doubled the size of the place, it would still be booked up. Highly recommended.

We ate here last night as part of a large group. I adored the Wagyu beef, it was perfectly cooked and really tender. My pigeon was a little overdone I think, but it was still delicious (and I'm not taking any stars off as the place was packed and we were a big table), and the chocolate fondant was to die for. Excellent service and a fab atmosphere, I'd readily choose to eat here again if I was in the area. Listing the suppliers of local produce used on the menu is a nice touch.

Really enjoyed a 3 course Sunday lunch here today. The food was absolutely fabulous and my children loved their meal too. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Just had a fabulous meal here tonight! Food was exceptional as was the service!! Husband is raving about the steak and the 'black donkey ' beer!!! Definitely deserves all the awards Thyme receives!!
