I lived in Atascadero, CA until I was 5 years old, and I recently returned to visit. I was thrilled to find that Golden China restaurant was still open. All Chinese food I try is compared to the meals I had there, as it holds my earliest memories of Chinese cuisine! The staff and the owner were fantastic, and the restaurant looks just as I remember it from my childhood. The food is still delicious. I used to work there, and the staff felt like family. I miss them dearly. The buffet was fantastic, and every time I dined there—whether I was off-duty or working—I had an amazing experience. If the restaurant were located where I live now, I would definitely visit it regularly.
