Cute clean hotel and family-owned. Will definitely be back!
Bought 2 nights paid for online. Get there and desk tells me she needs cc for incidentals and a new $37 fee. Ugh! Not cool advertise when booking!!!Rooms: SpaciousWalkability: Lots to visit centrally located
The hotel has been refurbished, and both the reception area and the room were well decorated. The room was comfortable. However, our problems started the morning we were due to check out, when the power to the building went out. We were on the third floor. Now, power going out isn 't usually the hotel 's problem, but having some kind of plan to deal with it certainly is. We heard nothing from the staff, so after 30 minutes we decided it would be best just to check out. Obviously we couldn 't use the elevators, so we followed the lighted EXIT signs... into a completely dark stairwell. There was nothing no emergency lights, no signs. We used the flashlights on our phones to light our way, trailing luggage behind us. When we made it down, I went to the reception area and told the woman there what had happened. She said Oh yes I know our maintenance man is coming over . I told her how dangerous it was not to have emergency lighting in a stairwell that is signposted as an emergency exit and she just giggled and looked away. No one should stay here until the staff are better trained and emergency lighting is installed.
I got a deal on this hotel room while driving down south and had a room on the third floor. It had high ceilings and was huge. The bathroom was gorgeous for the deep soaking tub and shower head that will blast any filth off of you. Insane pressure! The elevator was a bit funky and probably needs an upgrade but otherwise 10/10!!
