Ample Hills Creamery - Astoria

Great atmosphere, delicious ice cream, and friendly staff. It was a bit chilly, so my ice cream almost melted while I was eating. My only suggestion is to keep the ice cream colder next time!

I was really thrilled to see Ample Hills reopen just before the end of summer. The selection of flavored ice cream is fantastic—I especially love the ice cream flight, which is basically a sampler (perfect for ice cream fans like me who can't choose just one flavor and want to try more than two). If you encounter a line (which is common), it's definitely worth the wait!

The "ooeyer and gooeyer" dessert was incredibly sweet. Honestly, what was I expecting? The description suggested it would be quite sugary, but I decided to try it anyway based on recommendations. It turned out to be excessively sweet. Overall, it was a forgettable dessert; I can't even remember what my friend ordered, and he wasn’t impressed either. The only highlight was the house-made waffle cones, which were warm, crisp, and delightful. Ultimately, I left feeling disappointed, especially since I had high hopes given Ample Hill’s reputation.
