El Paraiso Mexican Cuisine - Ashland

This was our second visit. On our first visit we ordered nachos with ground beef, and instead we received nachos with large clumps of pre-cooked shredded beef, another option on the menu but not what we ordered. On the second visit we ordered nachos with ground beef again. The nachos came out quickly, within a few minutes. There might have been a teaspoon full of ground beef on the nachos, but it was hard to tell without a magnifying glass. Obviously, these meals are slapped together quickly with little attention to detail. If you want good Mexican food with freshly cooked ingredients, I advise you to look elsewhere.

We had never been to this place before and were impressed by the staff and the food. I had chicken enchiladas that were some of the best I have ever had. The rice and beans that came with the dinner were fresh and very good. A great place to stop on our way through Ashland

Wonderful. Delicious food and friendly excellent service! Three of us met there for dinner. Also I appreciated the plexiglass they have between the booths. I know that The shields are up because of Covid but it also helped with being able to converse and hear each other easily.

Stayed next door at the Holiday Inn Express. Walked over for dinner. I had Chile Rellenos and my husband had Chile Verde. Both were very good. Portions were generous. Topped with a Margarita. I would eat here again when driving through Ashland.

We overnighted at the Best Western almost adjacent to this restaurant. Keep in mind that this is COVID time. Friends of ours who had stayed nearby on an earlier trip recommended this restaurant, and we are so glad they did. It was take-out of course and the food was excellent. My wife had the Seafood Enchiladas and I had the Seafood Burrito. Massive and well prepared. She had refrained beans and I had black beans. The food was fresh and delicious and very generous portions. The menu was extensive with lots of options. NOTE: the regular menu is more extensive than the On-line menu. The dining room was closed of course but looked spacious and nice, in case you are reading this post-COVID. If you are hungry and feeling like having Mexican food, you will be very happy here
