Contribuiți la feedbackWe made a reservation for Valentines Day, and there was a specialty menu, which sounded quite appetizing, but my fiance preferred the regular menu. So I ordered steak with chimichurri sauce and it was excellent! It came with a mountain of thin cut fries, which were also very good- couldn't finish! The wine and beer selection is great as well- my fiance ordered a flight of beer (all local) and I tried a specialty Valentines sangria. Definitely will return soon!
Our first visit to M R will not be our last! We arrived during happy hour that allows for $5 drinks. My Tom Collins was not made properly, but it was still good. But it is the food that is that star here. We could not stop eating the Edamame Hummus appetizer it was so delicious its presentation intriguing (various colored carrots! . My Hangar Steak was prepared to perfection and had a bright taste. I normally don 't care for matchstick fries, but those that accompanied the steak were flavorful and crisp. My companion had the Amish Chicken, which he said was tender and full of flavor. We did not have dessert or coffee as we were so full. One hiccup was that later on the night that we dined, they mysteriously canceled my Open Table reservation. When it was pointed it out to them, they quickly corrected the error. We will return to this restaurant and highly recommend it to friends.
I don't often write reviews, but I have to say this restaurant over promised and under delivered. We were on time for our reservation but our table wasn't ready. They said it would be just a few minutes. After 10 minutes passed, they apologized and said that they were waiting for the guests at our table to pay the bill. We decided to then sit at the bar until it was ready. We were not acknowledged at the bar until we waived the bartender down and then waived them down again to order drinks. When my friend ordered a special whiskey, the bartender seemed inconvenienced. Just after they put drinks in our hands the hostess let us know that our table was ready, but we couldn't move to our table because they wouldn't carry the tab over and the bartender left us waiting to close out. In the meantime, the hostess returned and asked if we still wanted our table- which we did, but we couldn't close out our tab. Finally we were seated and hungry, but it was another 10 minutes before our waiter approached. First thing she asked if we wanted water to drink. Uh, of course we want water you have empty water glasses set on the table. She promptly went to get water without asking if we wanted anything else (I finished my cocktail at the bar because it took so long to pay the tab). I then waived her down and ordered a glass of rose. It arrived 10 minutes later and luke warm. Kindly our waiter extended the happy hour price on the wine because it took so long. After we ordered, it took a long time to receive our food. They didn't seem to know who had ordered what and my friend was missing a side of brussels sprouts for most of our meal. Then the runners tried to serve it to the table next to us. Finally they brought them to my friend and then five minutes later brought another plate of brussels. If the food was GREAT I would give them another go, but for now I can't see any reason to return.
We had pizza, burgers, and a beet salad for lunch with a beer and a whiskey. All was good. Our waiter was very friendly, even when our daughter upended a cup of coffee. We'll be back.
My wife and I went there on a whim for Easter Sunday brunch and it was fantastic. The biscuits are a must have with local honey. My wife had the simple breakfast sandwich which was done to perfection and I had Huevos Rancheros that were phenomenal. The prices were reasonable and my bourbon bacon **** mary was as good as it sounds.
