Contribuiți la feedbackBecause of its location in a fancy block of downtown with lots of fancy stores around it this place charges way too much for what it delivers. The sandwiches are incredibly boring. For example I got a sandwich that looked very good on the menu...with the picture that was shown and it turned out to be white toast with barely anything in it with some chicken salad and some melted cheese on top. Nothing like what I expected. The Pisco sours are very expensive 19 soles instead of the less-expensive 10 or 12 in other places that seems to be average. In addition the drinks are extremely small. If you want a plain sandwich that tastes like you're in a coffee shop in the United States and go ahead but expect to pay more than you would for a nice hot plate somewhere else.
An excellent place to have a quick, simple, high-quality meal. Service is quick and professional. Food is absolutely excellent, offering both Peruvian and International cuisine. Highly recommended.
In their favor: Staff was nice and the portion sizes of food and drinks are good and fill a hungry adult. The menu looks great and I wanted to order almost everything. Finally I ordered a Lomo Saltado, classic Peruvian food. And unfortunately, it was...rather tasteless. Not what I am used to from a good Lomo Saltado, no tasty sauce, just tasteless. The maracuya-mango drink was good, though. And then, the bathrooms were pretty dirty and no toilet paper available; that make me almost give this place a “poor” rating. Would I go there again? Probably not. Maybe if I were really hungry.
Came here for dinner menu gave you an impression of American ranch diner style. Had the steak which was paired up with pasta (italians will go crazy reading this! but overall food was ok. Probably better to try other local Peruvian food if you...are here for holiday
I really like El Ekeko. The portions are big and the food is delicious. Their drinks are fresh and beautifully presented. It’s located inside a small business center, which made me suspicious of it at first.
