After 10 minutes passed, the waiter informed us that they were out of salmon. Ended up getting a burger and fries. The pasta was substandard. The fries were cold. Took 25 minutes to bring meals. This pasta was almost 12.00.
I visit Arab once a month and was delighted to find a real restaurant serving real food. Honestly, the food is just okay, but the service is seriously lacking. On a Saturday night they needed at least three more servers since they weren 't able to keep up with the work load. They weren 't bussing tables, so the line to be seated was very long. We waited at least ten minutes for water, and then another long while for salads. The salad could use better presentation. The giant styrofoam cup of dressing for a tiny salad is overkill. The servers were rushed and rude. We 're were wondering if maybe they were short-staffed, which we would 've understood if they 'd said so, but instead they seemed annoyed by our presence. My mom was served the wrong meal, which she would have told the server if he hadn 't just thrown it on the table and run off. She had to go find somebody to tell him and he said What did you want? Oh, I 'll see if I can find it sitting back here. I will say, my sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes were pretty good. My mom 's grilled shrimp, once she finally got it, was over seasoned and the portion was small. The bathrooms are very outdated. The toilets are so low, anyone over 5 '5 probably looks like a grasshopper sitting there. Feels like a gas station bathroom on a good day. Also, I 'm not sure what could be done about this, but the noise level is terrible. The baby crying echoed off every wall and was difficult to speak over. At the end of the meal, we waited forever for the check and nobody told us to pay up front so we were just sitting there until we finally figured it out. I 'm hoping to see some improvements, but I can 't say I 'll rush back soon. Since there are only a few options in Arab, I 'll probably get tired of the monotony in a few months, and then I 'll update my review.
The service can sometimes be a little slow. The waiters try for the most part, but they have a large area to cover and sometimes when it's busy, they get easily overwhelmed. The food wait is sometimes a little slow as well, but hey.. everything is made fresh to order, so if you can be patient and just know that sometimes you might have to wait a little longer than you'd prefer, you will be rewarded with a fabulous meal! I can't think of anything I've gotten there that has been disappointing. From burgers, to pasta, to steaks and even simple dishes like cobb or taco salads, they seem to try to go the extra mile on food presentation and taste. The portions are large and filling. There's no way you will leave hungry and most likely will need a carry-out box. That said, I still give it five stars because the food is excellent and the staff has always been pleasant.
This place is real good. My mother had the pork chops with apples and it was delicious. I had the stuffed chicken and it was amazing. It was our first time there and we will definitely go back. The portions are huge and you are treated and served well.
Visited 231 grill first time with my BF, he ordered the 12 oz ribeye and I ordered the Chicken Scallopine. We both LOVED the Chicken and he liked his ribeye (cooked perfectly, but likes more seasoning). We would order the Chicken again and split it simce it was HUGE. Great food and great service. Oh, and the bread is the bomb!
