Jims Place - Appleton

Last year was 1980, and my time at Lawrence brings back fond memories. Those were the days! Jim's offered affordable beer, along with the quirky little nut hut and a grumpy bartender.

Fantastic place! They have an impressive selection of drinks, the venue is clean, and the live music was amazing.

I parked in the lot behind Jim's Place last week. And one of their bar tenders, a middle aged blonde woman, began yelling at me that I cannot park there and she would call the cops on me. All in the same breath; before I even had a chance to respond to her. It never dawned on her to ask or inform me nicely. I would have gladly moved my car, had I been approached in a mature and professional manner. This employee had neither qualities.

A GEM of a bar. Great music, atmosphere and attentstive bar staff that kept the drinks cold. I will go back soon.

Couldn't give a 0 or I would. Terrible bartender if you want to call her one. Warm beer. Couldn't drink it. Catered to locals. Never will step foot in there again.
