The Hub Pizza - Ansonia

The following day, I returned with my best friend to show him how much the place had improved, and he enjoyed it too. We tried the Return of Mac pizza, which includes a seasoned hamburger, mozzarella, onions, pickles, lettuce, and a house-made secret sauce. I’ve never tasted a pizza quite like this, and it was amazing! I'm really glad I gave this restaurant another shot because it was worth it. I also loved the music and the vibe! In contrast, my previous experience with takeout was less satisfying. I had ordered the specialty pizza, Rangoon to the Moon, a couple of times, and while it had great flavor and was definitely unique, it was soggy both times. I didn't want to leave a negative review based on delivery alone, so I decided to bring friends along. We ordered the 66 Diablo wings, which had good flavor but were also soggy. I personally prefer wings that are crispy with a moist center. We also got the Rangoon to the Moon, and I was excited for my friends to try it, but unfortunately, they weren't impressed. They felt there were too many wontons, and the crust was a bit overcooked. Additionally, one friend ordered a salad with chicken, but it arrived without the chicken. It seemed like both the server and the cook overlooked it, so he just decided to forget about it. Overall, the service wasn’t great. If the servers put as much effort into serving customers as they do on their phones, it might actually be good. I had high hopes for this place since it’s nearby, but sadly, it didn’t turn out well. I may consider giving it one more chance in the future.

This is a fantastic spot for cocktails, with stylish decor. However, they were short on silverware and napkins, and I had to go to the bar to grab some cocktail napkins myself. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 5 out of 5.

I'm really disappointed. The quality has really declined; it used to be great.

Nice place. Pizza was creative and tasty. Nice drink selections as well.
