Rosa Mina - Ansonia

Fantastic food, I order from here more than I care to admit! Staff is very friendly and they love their customers.

I haven’t had Rosa Mina in a few years but just had a major craving for their penne vodka because it is to die for!! I also ordered pasta with a meatball for my 2 yr old son who absolutely LOVES salad! I wasn’t sure if a side salad came with the kids pasta but I figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask so I left a little note on my Uber eats order. When our food arrived at my home, not only did they give my son a salad but they also gave him some treats (m&ms) for desserts! Thank you guys so much!!! Everything is delicious and we are so thankful!! Rosa Mina will continue to have our business!!

I ordered penne alla vodka, it wasn't good. Like I was disappointed. The pasta itself was overcooked, the sauce had this oily weird taste. It was off. The bread was cold. The side salad was ok but the tomato didn't look fresh. It was my first time ordering here and it will be my last.

I don't typically write restaurant reviews, but my time this evening at Rosa Mina was one of the worst meals and overall experiences I've had. Firstly, we had to wait over 20 minutes to be noticed/waited on. After standing for quite sometime, myself and the couple behind me decided to seat ourselves. At this point, we sat waiting to be noticed in the establishment. Because the staff and owner were arguing in the back room, they didn't bother to come out to us. Finally, someone went back there to announce our dissatisfaction. It was upsetting to have to hear such argumentative talk at a restaurant and to have waited so long. Once the owner was made aware of us, he never apologized for the wait. This was the first red flag. Ultimately, what made me most upset was the lack of cleanliness. Not only were the tables dirty. Wine stains, sauce stains, and crumbs were left all over my table. The walls had food splatter. And the dishes were dirty. My glass was not clean, the plates had chips, and the silverware still had food on it. And there were flies about. The food itself was not the greatest, though ultimately, the flavor didn't matter due to the dirty atmosphere. I ordered chicken piccata and it was served with red sauce, even though it's a white wine dish. Essentially, I'm so disappointed in the service, quality, and overall disrespect for customers. I wish I could receive my money back/take back the whole experience.

Food was fantastic. I really enjoyed it. Penne Alla Vodka was phenomenal. It was a bit salty, most likely from the prosciutto. But none the less very good.
