Pizza Social - Anna Maria Island

My husband and I ordered 2 pizzas for pickup the Beach Please and the Windy City pizza. We LOVED them both! On the Windy City I did the red sauce and subbed the GF cauliflower crust! Super great! Great pizza on AMI but seriously could not hear a thing with groups of people being so loud. Order early and pick up when it's higher season. They have really good salads also. They have a few indoor seats and more outside. Vegetarian options: They have a great veggie pizza which I love and some good salads also. Kid-friendliness: Lots of families come here as it's handy for kids and families to have dinner at. While I wish I could have left an actual review based on our food and service experience, I have to write this because 8pm when I called to place an order before closing (9pm), I was told they were backed up and stopped taking orders. After reading other reviews, this seems to be this business 's normal operations. The employee on the phone also seemed less than apologetic at that fact and seemed like a total ditz. This is no way to run a business. The owner should be ashamed. This was a Friday night, you would think they would staff enough employees during peak days and seasons (summertime). We ended up going to Publix and getting frozen pizzas to bake at our rental. I 'll never give this place my business in the future!!! Response to owner: funny thing is, I called at 720 to say I would order 8pm; no one made mention of the possibility of not taking on more orders.
